PLANET INK LTD SCORES A HAT-TRICK OF NOMINATIONS AT THIS YEAR’S SCOTTISH MAGAZINE AWARDS

The Periodical Publishers Association in Scotland (PPA Scotland) have confirmed their shortlist of nominees for this year’s prestigious Scottish Magazine Awards.

Planet Ink Limited – a first time entrant – has been nominated in three categories:

Staff Magazine – ScottishPower News

Customer Magazine of the Year – Setanta ‘Switch On’

Consumer Specialist Magazine of the Year – Planet Hearts

PPA Scotland said they had received a “record” number of entries judged by their expert panel chaired by Terry Mansfield CBE basing their decisions on “publishing excellence”.

Winners of the 16 categories will be announced at a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony presented by Carol Smillie on Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.

Founding director Gerry Cassidy said: “It is a fantastic achievement for our team to be represented alongside some of the best and biggest names in UK publishing.

“We are thrilled by our nominations for three different titles, across both printed and digital platforms, just 18 months after we came into what is a very competitive market.

“It is great recognition that our staff, all with national newspaper experience, have managed to bring their huge professionalism to the fore.

“We look forward to our maiden finals and helping to celebrate the huge talent on display in Scotland.”
